The objective is to determine the level of knowledge about Insulin in patients with type 2 Diabetes Mellitus at Anutapura Palu Regional General Hospital. This study used a quantitative descriptive design using a cross-sectional design to describe the level of knowledge of type 2 DM patients regarding insulin injection at Anutapura Palu Regional General Hospital. This research is descriptive, using primary data taken directly by giving questionnaires to patients with type 2 DM who use insulin at Anutapura Regional General Hospital as many as 85 samples. The characteristics of the respondents based in the gender of the respondents were mostly female. Age is mostly in the age range of 46-55 years. The last education of the majority of respondents has a secondary education level (SMA, MA, SMK). The most common occupation of respondents in this study is working as a housewife (IRT). The majority of respondents used insulin for 1 year. The description of the level of knowledge of respondents who have good knowledge as many as 25 respondents (29,4%), sufficient knowledge as many as 43 respondents (50,6%), and poor knowledge as many as 17 respondents (20,0%). Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that most patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus at Anutapura Palu regional General Hospital have a sufficient level of knowledge regarding insulin injection. However, there are still respondents with insufficient knowledge who need further education.
Magfirah Melati Putri Pilomonu Maria Rosa Da Lima Rupa Misriyani Copyright (c) 2026 Journal of Medical and Health Research 2026-04-16 2026-04-16 2 01 99 104 Characteristics of Patients with Stable Angina Pectoris in the Inpatient Department of Anutapura Regional General Hospital, Palu, 2023-2024 https://www.jurnal.fkunisa.ac.id/index.php/JMHR/article/view/447
Coronary heart disease usually presents with stable angina pectoris which is chest discomfort or symptoms similar to angina caused by physical activity and improves with rest or nitroglycerin. The 2022 Indonesian National Adolescent Mental Health Survey (I-NAMHS) reported that one in three Indonesian adolescents (34.9%), equivalent to approximately 15.5 million individuals, experience mental health problems, with 2.45 million having diagnosed mental disorders. Athletes, particularly young individuals undergoing structured training, are exposed to unique stressors such as competitive pressure, training intensity, and performance expectations, which may increase their risk of anxiety. Elevated anxiety levels can negatively affect not only athletic performance but also overall well-being and development. Preliminary local data from Central Sulawesi athletes participating in the 2022 pre-PON indicated concerning anxiety levels (6% very high, 45% high). Considering the critical role of the Student Education and Training Center (PPLP) in developing young athletes, understanding their mental health status—particularly anxiety levels—is essential to provide appropriate support and optimize athlete development. This study specifically focuses on Taekwondo athletes in the PPLP Central Sulawesi program. This study employed a quantitative analytical observational design with a cross-sectional approach. Total sampling was applied to Taekwondo athletes at PPLP Central Sulawesi (n = all eligible athletes). Data on anxiety and stress were collected using validated questionnaires (DASS-21 and SAS-2). The relationships between age, gender, stress, and anxiety were analyzed using the Chi-square test with SPSS version 30.0 (p < 0.05).

A total of 60 Taekwondo athletes were included in the study (April 2025). The majority were male (56.7%) and in late adolescence (60.0%). Stress levels during competition were predominantly categorized as very severe (63.3%), while anxiety levels were most commonly classified as high (38.3%), followed by very low (31.7%). Chi-square analysis showed no significant association between anxiety levels and gender (p = 0.868), age (p = 0.874), or competition-related stress (p = 0.387). Most Taekwondo athletes at PPLP Central Sulawesi were male and in late adolescence. Although stress levels during competition were generally very high and anxiety levels were predominantly high, no significant relationships were found between anxiety and gender, age, or stress levels.
Faulia Putri Cantika Andi Soraya Tenri Uleng Misriyani Copyright (c) 2026 Journal of Medical and Health Research 2026-04-16 2026-04-16 2 01 111 115 The Relationship Between Stress Levels and Sleep Quality Among Pre-Clinical Students of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Alkhairaat Palu https://www.jurnal.fkunisa.ac.id/index.php/JMHR/article/view/452
Stress is a condition that can affect an individual's physiological and psychological balance, including sleep quality. Pre-clinical medical students face high academic pressure, which may increase stress levels and negatively impact their sleep quality. This study aims to determine the relationship between stress levels and sleep quality among pre-clinical students of the Faculty of Medicine at Universitas Alkhairaat Palu. This analytical observational study used a cross-sectional design. The sample was selected using a total sampling technique, with a total of 165 pre-clinical students. Stress levels were measured using the Depression Anxiety Stress Scales (DASS-42) questionnaire, while sleep quality was assessed using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). Data were analyzed using the Spearman correlation test with a significance level of p<0.05. The results showed that most students had normal stress levels (59.4%), while 40.6% experienced mild to severe stress. Additionally, 92.1% of students had poor sleep quality. Bivariate analysis indicated a significant relationship between stress levels and sleep quality 1 (p<0.001) with a Spearman’s rho correlation coefficient of 0.535, indicating a moderate positive correlation. There is a significant relationship between stress levels and sleep quality among pre-clinical students of the Faculty of Medicine at Universitas Alkhairaat Palu, where higher stress levels are associated with poorer sleep quality.
Rafi Firgiawan Marina Musyawwirina Desiprimayanti RR Ruslan Ramlan Ramli Copyright (c) 2026 Journal of Medical and Health Research 2026-04-16 2026-04-16 2 01 116 125 Agreement Between the Results of the Dix-Hallpike Maneuver Examination and the Romberg Test in Vertigo Patients at RSUD Anutapura Palu https://www.jurnal.fkunisa.ac.id/index.php/JMHR/article/view/453
Background: Vertigo is a symptom of vestibular dysfunction and has been described as a sensation of movement, most commonly rotational movement.
